How to make Beeswax Wraps using our DIY Blocks?
Melting beeswax pellets is a straightforward process, and you can use various methods depending on your preferences and the scale of your wax wrap project. There are many different methods for making these wraps – in the oven or using an iron. My method for making a heap of beeswax wraps is:
1. Melt the DIY Beeswax Wrap Easy Premix Block into a double boiler on low heat (approx 60-70 degrees). We recommend using a double boiler and not the microwave (of course it’s up to you though).
2. Lay material onto a large oven tray and turn the oven on to 100 – 120 degrees.
3. Once the block are melted in the double boiler, use a dedicated new paint brush to paint the mix onto the material out to each edge evenly.
4. Pop the tray with the coated material into the oven for 2 minutes.
5. Take out of the oven and immediately peel off the material and tap the edge onto the tray to prevent pooling at one end. Then wave a few times in the breeze.
